Bahamas: We must protect society’s most vulnerable and maintain achievements

The countries of the Americas must protect the region’s most vulnerable populations and maintain its achievements to date, the delegate of the Bahamas told participants at the 52nd Directing Council of the Pan American Health Organization.

“Vaccines and prices should not be treated in the same way as other medicines,” he said,  and called for a larger investment in health systems and services and capacity-building among health professionals.

Vaccination Week of the Americas is the most important event of vaccination in all the countries of the continent.
