The countries of the Region described challenges and priorities surrounding the implementation of HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria programs that are funded with contributions from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, in the context of progress towards universal health coverage. The meeting, the third of its kind to be held, was chaired by the Minister of Health of Guyana, Bheri Ramsaran, and featured opening remarks by the Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Carissa F. Etienne.
