PAHO Director calls on countries to come together to make a final effort to eliminate onchocerciasis

The Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) , Carissa F. Etienne, called for countries to come together to give the final push to achieving in the Americas the elimination of the transmission of onchocerciasis , also called “river blindness.” Etienne assured that PAHO will work hard to achieve this goal.
